This is the home out of your home!!!
If you want a place to feel like home even when you are far away this is the place to stay. The place is awesome and the personnel couldn't be any nicer. This place is 4 stars place and I highly recommend it.
Best regards
Gilbert

I totally agree with the statement. This indeed is a home away from home.

While my daughter was attending U of I, we often stayed at the Senator's Inn. The price for what you got was very reasonable and way better than a motel room. The two ladies were always accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and well appointed and stocked with yummy coffee, tea and snacks! I only wish my daughter was still in school so I could continue to stay there.

I was a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois and often stayed at the Senator's Inn during the academic year 2011-2012. The prices were very affordable, the rooms were always clean and the ladies who run the place are very nice and friendly. I strongly recommend this place.

An amazing stay! I'm using the extended stay package and couldn't be happier. The name should be changed to something to include quiet and relaxation (I especially like the "quiet cellphones" policy). A beautiful facility that is only matched by the outstanding service of both the owner and manager.

I wanted to let anyone who is new to the area know, that the staff at The Senator's Inn is far more concerned about what is best for the guest than what is best for them. Today I called to book an extended stay room and I spoke to Sherri. She spent about an hour trying to figure out a way to get me in. When she called me back, she told me that she could get me in but it meant moving around a lot and there were a couple of nights they were sold out. THEN she said, we want what is best for you, so I made some phone calls for you and found you a place across town that is within the budget you gave me and they have rooms available for your entire stay. You do what is best for you but if you need us in any way, you just let us know. I just want people to know there are businesses out there who care and will do whatever they can to help people even if they don't make a dime. Thank you Sherri and The Senator's Inn, you are what our country is missing, compassion and service. I will tell everyone about your place.

We love the ambiance and coziness of the Senator's Inn. It is wonderful to be in a beloved historical building that has been kept beautiful. The easy, ground-level parking and location right off Neil St./ Dunlap is just the icing on the cake.

I was blessed to stay at The Senator's Inn for 12 nights and the price could not be beat. It isn't your new and modern type of place but it felt like you were staying with a family. I think the location is great; near the airpot and also places to eat and buy some light groceries. The staff is extremely friendly and ever so helpful. I loved the sound of the train and slept like a baby every night. I would stay here again. Thank you Lori and Sherri. I enjoyed visiting with my granddaughters during the day but was ready for some quiet time when i got to my room.

Senator's Inn is just a wonderful place to stay and it's only 5 minutes from the U of I campus. If you want a regular run-of-the-mill rectangle room hotel, look elsewhere. But if you are looking for something different, comfy, cozy, homey, I highly recommend staying here. The owner and property manager are great people and the Inn is very clean and smartly decorated to fit the Mansion's vintage (but equipped with all the desired technology including available Wi-Fi). Whether for a single night stay or for an extended period, Senator's Inn is something worth experiencing. If you do, you'll be back. Thank you Sharry and Lori for your hospitality and kindness.

Senator's Inn is a very beautiful house with green gables located in Savory. It takes about 5 minutes to drive to UIUC.
Clean, cozy, and wonderful hosts. There is a pub and some lovely markets, shops nearby. I enjoyed my stay here and had a great American style country life in Senator's Inn. Thank you for giving me such a good memory.I highly recommend this place.

We stayed at the Senator's Inn one night while in town for a wedding. I am so glad that other places we checked for accommodations were full due to the Corvette show in town! Otherwise I may not have found the Senator's Inn! Although our stay was brief, Lori went out of her way to accommodate our schedule. The inn is beautiful and our room was very comfortable, with all the little extras you find in a chain hotel (coffee maker, fridge, iron, tv, etc.). It was very quiet, except for the occasional train on the tracks across the road. My husband is a rail fan, so that was no problem for us :-) We had a great experience here, and would definitely choose the inn again if/when we are in the area!

I stayed at Senator's Inn the summer of 2013. Lori and Sherri are great, friendly individuals. When I was looking for a place to stay in the area, they were all booked up. However, they went out of their way to rearrange a few things, so I would be able to live there. I enjoyed my stay over the summer, and it was set up very nicely. I will be sure to stay there in the future if I make it back to the area!

e lush Victorian decor made us feel we'd been transported back in time while still enjoying 21st century amenities. Sharry and Lori were so delightful to stay with that we intend to book the same room for future anniversaries. Anyone visiting Champaign for any reason would be well served by making Senator's Inn their first choice for lodging!

We LOVED our stay at the Senator's Inn. It is an incredibly good value for the chance to stay in Victorian style luxury for a time. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, with very unique decor. As a bonus, the inn-keeper is a sweetheart! We would highly recommend to anyone.

I just love this place. I had been searching for an extended stay location for months, when I happened across an ad on craigslist. When I arrived it was like coming into heaven. My room was so nice and clean. Lori and Sherrie were just so nice, they now are just like family! I have extended my stay several times now because I just can't leave. This place is home.
If you are looking for a peaceful and serene place when you are visiting the Champaign-Urbana area, This is It!

A return extended stay visitor. A beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to stay. Great staff and the owners of the other "cottage stores" located on site are just as nice. It's a wonderful place with a wonderful environment only matched by the wonderful staff!

Recently married and used the "Honeymoon Suite" First of all I want to give credit to the staff for keeping the facility so nice and clean inside and outside of the Inn. Lori helped me and let me say that she went above and beyond. Lori helped me by setting up the room in advance for my wedding night. Also Sheri the Inn manager was very sweet and welcoming.
The Honeymoon Suite was perfect, the private bathroom was nicely heated, clean, and very spacious. The King size bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the jacuzzi was amazing...I felt like I could never run out of hot water in the in room jacuzzi. I highly recommend this room to anyone wanting a romantic weekend.
Again the staff was amazing, room was very clean, and location is great, not to far from downtown Champaign, IL and a movie theatre down the road!
I've stayed in a lot of hotels, especially growing up in Las Vegas. I personally think Senators Inn is one of the best places I have ever stayed.

What a delightful place to stay!! It was a treat to stay here while I was back in town for a week working at the research park. I stayed in the Courtyard bedroom, which shares a bathroom down the hall. I felt quite at home! Everything is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The morning summer sunshine streaming in and breezes through balcony doors and windows, not to mention the quiet, green surroundings (sans the train whistles across the street - which add their own unique touch that I loved!) all came together to make a relaxing atmosphere. I was allowed to store my bicycle on the covered back porch, and had no problems or concerns biking into CU and back each day. Was so pleased to find this safe, affordable, well-managed inn, which had everything I needed and more! Thank you, Lori, for your hospitality!!

I used the extended stay package during a 3 month travel nurse assignment. Lori is extremely accommodating and friendly. The Inn definitely has a home away from home feeling. I would not hesitate to stay again.

I've run my business out of the Senators Inn for a number of years now and have been nothing but pleased by the accommodation of the wonderful family at the Senator's Inn. Clients, when they enter the building, feel a sense of trust from the atmosphere rarely found in a more commercialized setting. Thanks for helping my success Sharry and Lori!

I own & operate Metta Thai Bodyworks located on the first floor of the Senator's Inn. I fell in love with the Inn long before I decided to open my own business. I was thrilled to be able to rent a room at the Inn to start my business. It is a great location with a serene welcoming environment. My clients often comment on how beautiful and relaxing my studio is. The staff of the Inn make you feel like you are family and are very attentive to the needs of the business owners. I am thankful for Sharry, Lori & Troy who make Senator's Inn so comfortable and inviting. I am looking forward to many more years at the Inn.

A visit to our new granddaughter also had another pleasant surprise. The Inn (we had the Honeymoon Suite) was old but comfortable and homey. The staff was wonderful and engaging. The bed was firm and we awoke well rested. The Jacuzzi in the room was a joy after a day of carrying a newborn. It was clean and well kept. We've come to prefer B and B's over hotels and this one is one will visit again (actually rather soon). Hotels, even the best, are impersonal and that could never be said of Senators. If you want a hotel experience, this isn't the place for you. If you want to be served a hot breakfast it won't happen here. They promise continental breakfast and that's what they deliver. But if you want to feel like your in your grandmother's or great aunt's home, this is the place. And, remarkably, the odd train whistle during the night (we like open windows) was actually welcome. And when Steve Goodman wrote "The train pulls out at Kankakee" it passes the Senator's Inn about an hour and a half later. I won't even comment on the price -- they might just charge twice what they do and I wouldn't complain. Near Urbana-Champaign, this is the place if you are visiting and don't want a cookie cutter room in one of the chains.

My Dad and I enjoyed ground floor rooms--the gorgeous wood-paneled dining room and the butlers pantry behind, complete with pass-through doors for food back in the day. I love staying at old homes being treated with respect! My sister and brother in law live just east of the Inn, so location was perfect! Thanks Lori for your help.

I stayed at Senator's Inn for extended time and gotta say, I can't wait to go back! The Emmiline room is elegantly furnished and had everything I needed. It was my home away from home. If you're looking for a beautiful, scenic peaceful place then this is it! Especially perfect for us single gals due to its safety. Super awesome manager lives there and she keeps it shiny clean. Where else can you stay that is affordable (all inclusive) and has Thai Yoga, hair styling, facials, masseuse, nice neighborhood bar next door, etc., available without going outside? They made me feel like family from the get go and I made some great friends there. Thanks so much!

I have been super anxious due to many of the life situations we all face. Just left MettaThai Bodyworks and honestly don't remember the last time I felt this relaxed and loosened up. This seems to have brought some extra inner calmness I don't recall experiencing with traditional massages. Vicki Brown is a professional who really knows her stuff, gives great advice for self treating problem areas, and has a super big heart. She truly cares for her customers! Thanks, Vicki! Haven't felt like this in a long time.

I stayed at the Inn for a short time, as I waited to close on my new home. It was VERY CLEAN, quiet, peaceful, and I felt very safe. The price was the best in the area and for what you get, it is a deal. The owner was extremely accommodating and kind. I would recommend The Senator's Inn to anyone who is quiet and respectful. If you are a person who is loud, messy, or tends to cause trouble, the Inn would not be the place for you. The people there call it home and they do not like trouble makers. Some of the tenants have lived there for many years and love it. I spoke with long term as well as short term tenants and the only thing everyone had to say was positive. You can't go wrong with The Senator's Inn.
